Terms
DRAFT for review by a lawyer. Not legal advice and not yet our final policy. Last updated 2026-10-30.
These are the rules for playing MEKZ. By playing, you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.
1. The game
MEKZ is a free online robot arena game you play in a web browser at mekz.io, with no account needed. We may change, add or remove features at any time.
2. Be a good sport
- No cheating: no hacks, scripts, bots, automated play, exploits or tampering with the game, its servers or other players’ connections.
- No names that are rude, hateful, sexual or threatening, or that pretend to be someone else.
- No harassing or targeting other players.
- No selling, trading or transferring progress, Cash or items.
We may rename or remove names, reset progress and remove runs from leaderboards when these rules are broken.
3. Cash and items
Cash and cosmetic items are earned by playing. They have no money value, cannot be exchanged for money and belong to the game; you get a licence to use them in the game. Nothing in MEKZ is random for money: there are no loot boxes and no paid spins, and you always see exactly what an item is before you get it. If we sell anything for real money later, the price will be clear before you pay, and a protected (under-13) player will need a parent.
4. Our content
The game, its code, art, sounds and names belong to us or our licensors (see the credits). You are welcome to share screenshots, clips and build cards of the game.
5. No warranty and liability
The game is provided as is, free of charge. We cannot promise it will always be available or that progress kept in your browser will never be lost. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost progress. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be limited.
Note for review: governing law, venue, minimum age and the legal entity.
6. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Questions or reports: hello@mekz.io.
